It’s time to seal the Honmoon. The animated global hit KPop Demon Hunters is heading to theaters for a special sing-along event on Saturday and Sunday in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Fans can join voices with K-pop superstars Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) in a lyrics-on-screen version of the film. Tickets are now on sale via SingKPopDemonHunters.com.
The film is Netflix’s most-watched animated original to date and its second most-viewed English-language movie overall. It has also delivered a historic music milestone. Lead single “Golden” recently reached number on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the first non-BTS K-pop act to top the chart, and the first girl group in 24 years to do so since Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious” in 2001.
KPop Demon Hunters is also included in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ first wave of digital screeners for the 98th Academy Awards, as awards season kicks off.
