Netflix has dropped the main trailer for Resident Playbook, the highly anticipated medical drama set to premiere on April 12. A spinoff of the beloved Hospital Playlist, the series follows a group of first-year OB/GYN residents as they fumble through the highs and lows of their grueling yet rewarding profession.
Leading the cast is breakout star Go Youn-jung (Alchemy of Souls, Moving) as Oh Yi-young, joined by rising talents Shin Si-a (The Witch: Part 2), Kang You-seok (When Life Gives You Tangerines), Han Ye-ji (User Not Found), and Jung Joon-won. Together, they bring youthful energy to the halls of Jongno Yulje Medical Center, where moments of humor, chaos, and heartfelt growth unfold.
Hospital Playlist director Shin Won-ho returns to helm this spinoff, alongside writer Kim Song-hee from the original series.
In a press release from Netflix, the team behind Resident Playbook share, "Our drama portrays the universal experiences of young professionals who lack knowledge, skill, and confidence but grow through perseverance and support. We believe audiences, especially those navigating their own early careers, will deeply resonate with our characters’ journeys."
