Netflix is rolling out a stacked slate of films and series this year, with major moments for Asian talent across Hollywood and beyond. At its annual Next on Netflix showcase, chief content officer Bela Bajaria teased what’s ahead, reaffirming the streamer’s commitment to bold choices and global storytelling.
From highly anticipated originals, to must-watch international hits, here’s a breakdown of the biggest Netflix titles featuring Asian stars and creators—with confirmed release dates.
Films
The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep
Directed by Kang Hei Chul, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep follows Geralt of Rivia (Doug Cockle) as he investigates attacks in a seaside village, uncovering a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople. With the threat of war looming, Geralt must rely on allies to solve the mystery and prevent disaster.

The Electric Slate
Ke Huy Quan joins this visually stunning sci-fi epic from the Russo brothers (Avengers: Endgame), set in an alternate 1990s after a robot uprising. Millie Bobby Brown stars as an orphaned teenager journeying across a desolate American West with a smuggler and a cartoonish robot in search of her missing brother. The star-studded cast also includes Chris Pratt, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, and Stanley Tucci, with voice performances from Woody Harrelson, Jenny Slate and more.

Pangolin: Kulu's Journey
Executive produced by Swati Thiyagarajan, Pangolin: Kulu's Journey follows a man who finds new purpose rescuing a baby pangolin in South Africa, one of the most trafficked animals in the world.

The Old Guard 2
In the highly anticipated sequel, Andy (Charlize Theron) and her team of immortal warriors must face an even more dangerous enemy threatening their existence. Alongside Theron, the cast includes KiKi Layne, Henry Golding, and Veronica Ngô, with Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, and Uma Thurman. Directed by Victoria Mahoney and based on the graphic novel series by Greg Rucka.

Cobra Kai season six, part three finale
After a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, the final installment of Cobra Kai has arrived. As the dust settles from the Sekai Taikai, Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai must face their legacies, their rivalries, and the battles still to come. Returning are Yuji Okumoto, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Lewis Tan, Oona O’Brien, and Rayna Vallandingham as they prepare for one last fight. The epic conclusion is here—no mercy.

The Residence
This sharp-witted whodunnit is set against the opulent yet chaotic backdrop of the White House.
