Lionsgate has released the first trailer for Good Fortune, the feature directorial debut of comedian Aziz Ansari (Master of None), who also stars alongside Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen, and Sandra Oh (Quiz Lady, The Sympathizer). The film hits theaters Oct. 17.
Good Fortune follows Gabriel (Reeves), a well-meaning but underutilized guardian angel who longs for more impactful assignments. Eager for a deeper purpose, Gabriel takes interest in struggling gig worker Arj (Ansari), prompting a soul-swapping scheme with Jeff (Rogen), a wealthy and oblivious venture capitalist.
Oh plays fellow angel Martha. Keke Palmer (Nope) and Sherry Cola (Joy Ride) round out the ensemble cast as human characters. The film is produced by Ansari and longtime collaborators Alan Yang and Anthony Katagas.
