Kapil Talwalkar has become one of the most versatile actors working in television today. From his breakout role as the lovable Tobin in Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist to Neil Valluri on Night Court, Talwalkar has built a career on bringing warmth, authenticity, and charm to every character he plays. Now, he's stepped into a new chapter with Peacock's hit comedy-mystery series The 'Burbs.

Inspired by the 1989 cult classic film, The 'Burbs follows a newly married couple who return to a suburban neighborhood only to uncover dark secrets lurking beneath what appears to be a seemingly perfect surface. The series is a unique blend of mystery, comedy, and eccentric characters.

Talwalkar stars as Naveen Varma, the childhood best friend of Rob Fisher (Jack Whitehall) and one of the neighborhood's most connected residents. As the mystery unfolds, Naveen becomes an integral part of the show's quirky ensemble helping investigate the strange happenings surrounding the cul-de-sac, while navigating his own emotional journey.

Born in India and raised in Cupertino, California, Talwalkar discovered his passion for acting at a young age. After studying international relations and dramatic arts at the University of Southern California, he worked in theater and television before landing roles that showcased both his comedic timing and dramatic range. His performances in Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, Charmed, and Night Court helped establish him as a rising talent in Hollywood. Talwalkar is also a musician, with his musical talent being showcased in Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist.

In The 'Burbs, Talwalkar brings a relatable and authentic sincerity to Naveen, a character balancing nostalgia, friendship, and self-discovery amid the show's bizarre mysteries. The role allows him to showcase the humor fans have come to expect while exploring deeper emotional layers. As the series continues to grow in popularity and has already secured a second season renewal, Talwalkar remains one of its most compelling and endearing standouts.

Talkwalkar recently talked to JoySauce about the creative freedom with this new role, balancing passion and work in Hollywood, his music, and more.
