K-pop idol Bain comes out during LA concert
The Just B member announced that he is part of the LGBTQ+ community and performed Lady Gaga's "Born This Way"

Bain, a member of the K-pop boy group Just B, publicly came out as gay during the group’s Los Angeles concert on April 22 as part of their Just Odd world tour.
During the performance, Bain told the crowd, “I’m f*cking proud to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community,” before dedicating a message to fans who may be on similar journeys of self-discovery. “To everyone out there who’s part of the LGBTQ+ or still figuring it out, this is for you guys. And also, this is for everyone. You’re seen, you’re loved, and you are born this way.” He also waved a rainbow flag and performed Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” receiving a standing ovation and emotional support from his bandmates onstage.
Fellow member Siwoo later expressed his admiration through a heartfelt message on the fan-to-artist platform Fromm, praising Bain’s bravery and sharing how moved he was watching the moment unfold backstage.
“Byunghee (Bain) was amazing. Applause for his courage. I was watching backstage, and I teared up. Knowing how hard and painful this must've been, it hit me even harder. I already gave him a big hug—it’s been such a happy tour.”
Just B debuted in 2021 and recently released their EP Just Odd in March. The group’s company has not issued an official statement on Bain’s coming out. LGBTQ+ visibility in South Korea is still limited and even more so within the K-pop industry for an active artist. Representation however is growing as just last month, KATSEYE member Lara Raj came out as queer.
