HYBE announces new K-pop girl group TUIDE

HYBE has officially introduced the name of its upcoming K-pop girl group, TUIDE, through the launch of the group's official social media accounts.

The announcement was made at midnight KST on Monday. According to HYBE, TUIDE will debut under ABD, the company's newly established label dedicated to producing girl groups. The group's official accounts are now active on Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube and Weverse.

HYBE first announced the creation of ABD in May. At that time, the company said the label's first artist would debut later this year.

The company also confirmed that veteran producer Han Sung Soo, founder and professional producer of PLEDIS Entertainment, will oversee TUIDE's music, concept and performances as executive producer. Han has previously worked with artists including SEVENTEEN, After School, NU'EST, fromis_9, IZ*ONE and TWS.

TUIDE consists of seven members: Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah, and Lee Hani. HYBE has not announced when the group's music will be unveiled.

The name TUIDE (Tyoo-ih) is derived from the phrase "tune the tide," signifying the group’s core mission to channel each of the seven members' unique individualities into one cohesive, harmonious wave of sound.

The launch of TUIDE's official social media accounts marks the first public announcement of the group's name. Further details are expected to be announced by the company at a later date.
