‘Golden’ from ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ goes up, up, up to platinum

The certification came as a surprise to the HUNTR/X trio right before the group's first live performance of "Golden"

The KPop Demon Hunters phenomenon is now platinum.

On Tuesday, the film’s official soundtrack earned RIAA platinum certification, marking more than one million units sold in the United States. The milestone was commemorated on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, on which vocalists EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami—who perform the singing voices of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, respectively, of the fictional K-pop group HUNTR/X—performed their smash hit “Golden” live and in full for the first time.

The performance capped a milestone week for the team as the soundtrack is expected to reclaim the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for this upcoming week, marking its second week at the top.

“Golden,” which has dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks, also stands as the longest-running number one song of 2025 on the Global 200, and the first female-led K-pop song ever to top the Hot 100.

Several other songs from the soundtrack have also joined the platinum ranks. HUNTR/X’s “How It’s Done” and “What It Sounds Like,” along with Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol,” have each sold more than one million units in the United States.
