Bruno Mars has officially reentered the solo spotlight, unveiling a new single, album details and an expansive global tour, signaling the start of a new era.
On Friday, the singer released “I Just Might,” a retro-leaning track fusing classic pop and disco. Its accompanying music video features Mars in a sharp green suit leading a band in which he also plays every instrument, and is even the photographer, in a high-energy performance.
“I Just Might” serves as the lead single from Mars’ upcoming fourth studio album, The Romantic, set to be released on Feb. 27. The project marks his first solo LP in nearly 10 years, following 2016’s 24K Magic, a blockbuster release that earned multiple Grammy Awards and produced enduring hits like “That’s What I Like” and “24K Magic.” While Mars has largely stepped away from solo albums since then, he has hardly been absent. In 2021, he joined forces with Anderson .Paak for An Evening With Silk Sonic, a critically acclaimed collaboration that swept the Grammys, including wins for Record of the Year and Song of the Year in 2022.
In the years between albums, Mars has remained a chart force through high-profile collaborations. His duet with Lady Gaga, “Die With a Smile,” became one of the biggest singles of 2025, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for multiple weeks and breaking streaming records by reaching one billion Spotify streams at a historic pace. He also teamed with BLACKPINK’s Rosé on “APT.,” a global smash that was Apple Music’s most streamed song of 2025. “APT” puts Mars in contention for multiple 2026 Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo Performance.
To support the new album, Mars will embark on The Romantic Tour, his first global stadium tour as a solo artist. The run kicks off April 10 in Las Vegas and will span North America throughout the spring and summer before heading to Europe. Stops include major cities such as London, Paris, Milan, Berlin, Amsterdam and Madrid. The tour will feature a rotating lineup of supporting acts, with Anderson .Paak appearing as his DJ alter ego DJ Pee .Wee at all dates, and select shows welcoming RAYE, Victoria Monét, and Leon Thomas.
