The 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup is here early. Set for April 10-12 and 17-19 in Indio, California, the festival will be headlined by Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G.
The lineup also includes some massive Asian talents who are, in our humble opinion, headline worthy in their own right.
After their planned 2020 debut was scrapped due to the pandemic, K-pop titans BIGBANG will finally play Coachella. The performance marks a generational moment for K-pop fans who have waited years to see the group’s legendary stage.
Global girl group and Gap ambassadors KATSEYE will hit the Coachella stage for the first time following their buzzy performances of “Gnarly” and “Gabriela” at Lollapalooza and the MTV VMAs.
BINI will be the first P-pop group ever to perform at Coachella. Known as “The Nation’s Girl Group,” BINI has been leading the charge for Philippine pop on the global stage, and their inclusion marks a major step for the genre’s worldwide recognition.
SHINee’s Taemin, known for his dynamic solo work and theatrical performance style, will bring his signature artistry to the desert. Jazz-pop star Laufey, whose dreamy sound has made her a Gen Z favorite, is set for a golden-hour set. Rising Japanese singer-songwriter Fujii Kaze also joins the lineup, continuing his international breakout.
Coachella 2026 also features a deep bench of Asian and Asian-diaspora talent across rock, hip-hop, indie, and electronic music.
On the live band front, representation shows up in both established and rising acts. Guitarist Ryan Malicsi brings Filipino American pride to beloved emo outfit Hot Mulligan, while Joyce Manor’s Chase Knobbe, who is part Japanese, helps carry the torch for the California punk scene. Vocalist Rila Ogawa of Febuary and keyboardist Nicole Dao of Glitterer add their artistry to the indie sphere, and Filipina musician Jewlz brings fresh energy as half of the genre-bending duo The Two Lips.
Hip-hop and rap are also in the mix. Central Cee, the British rapper with Guyanese and Chinese heritage, is set to deliver his first-ever Coachella set, while Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts bring their dynamic bars and turntable work to the desert. Sri Lankan-born singer-songwriter Ecca Vandal will fuse punk, hip-hop, and electronic influences in her performance.
Electronic and dance music fans will also have a strong slate of Asian representation. Turkish DJ-producer Mahmut Orhan, Canadian DJ Rezz (of Ukrainian and Iranian heritage), and Japanese turntablist Yousuke Yukimatsu are all set to play. Rising Japanese DJ Yamagucci and South Korean DJ Youna will also shine, making for a globally minded set of late-night slots across both weekends.
