Wang will portray District 12 tribute Wyatt Callow, adding to the expanding ensemble for the Second Quarter Quell story, which is set 24 years before the events of the original Hunger Games series.
Wang joins a high-profile cast that includes Joseph Zada as a young Haymitch Abernathy, Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove Baird, Mckenna Grace as Maysilee Donner, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, Maya Hawke as Wiress, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Beetee, and Lili Taylor as Mags. Francis Lawrence returns to direct, continuing his longstanding involvement with the franchise. The film is slated for release on Nov. 20, 2026.
