Comedian Atsuko Okatsuka is returning to the stage with her second stand-up special, Father, set to premiere on Hulu on June 13. The special is part of the streamer’s Hularious comedy initiative and marks the eighth original hour in the series.

Known for her offbeat humor and observational wit, Okatsuka explores themes of adulthood, marriage, and the absurdity of everyday life in Father. The title playfully contrasts with her nickname “Mother,” as fans know her, with the realities of being an adult who still struggles with life’s basics—from skipping laundry for seven years, to discovering that weddings require marriage licenses.

Okatsuka wrote and executive produced the special alongside Ally Engelberg and Ryan Harper Gray, who also directed.
