Netflix is taking viewers back to the Borderland. The third season of the Japanese sci-fi thriller Alice in Borderland will continue the high-stakes survival story inspired by Haro Aso’s manga.
With the series’ completion of the main manga source material in season two, this latest installment promises original content.
The new season reunites director Shinsuke Sato with stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya, who return as Arisu and Usagi, now married but still haunted by their time in the game-like world that blurs the line between life and death. In the upcoming episodes, a mysterious disappearance forces Usagi back into the Borderland, setting Arisu on a mission to follow her.
Season three features returning cast members Hayato Isomura, Ayaka Miyoshi, and Katsuya Maiguma, and introduces new characters played by Koji Ohkura, Tina Tamashiro, and Kento Kaku, among others.
Alice in Borderland season three premieres on Netflix on Sept. 25.
